"There is power that comes to women when they give birth. They don't ask for it, it simply invades them. Accumulates like clouds on the horizon and passes through, carrying the child with it." ~Sheryl Feldman

This is YOUR experience!

Nothing that I believe should have any bearing on how you want to go about laboring and birthing. It is not my job as a doula to tell you how to birth or not to birth. I am there to support you in whatever way you decide.

I am open to any birthing options–

  • Natural home birth
  • Unmedicated hospital birth
  • Medicated hospital birth
  • Cesarean section (though many hospitals only allow one support person in the operating room)
  • Unassisted home birth
  • Vaginal birth after cesarean, either at home or hospital
  • Birthing Centers
The list goes on and on. Essentially, at your introduction and prenatal appointments, I will do what I can to inform you of your options, we will discuss exactly how you want your birthing experience to transpire, and I will do everything in my power to support and empower you to have the birth that you want.

I believe that birth is an amazing, natural thing that our bodies know exactly how to handle, but I also believe that medical technology has given women numerous choices.

I encourage every woman to know all of her options and to research each aspect of her pregnancy and birth as much as she can, though I understand that for some, placing the process in the hands of a professional is much more comfortable.

Whatever your choice, know that as your doula, I will stand by your side until your baby is resting peacefully in your arms.
